Liquidlogic Provides IT System that Underpins Coordinate My Care in London
Liquidlogic, a McKesson company, provides software to help co-ordinate end of life care across London. The software is used by healthcare professionals across the capital and enables care plans and a person’s wishes to be shared and co-ordinated.
Liquidlogic and System C were awarded the contract in March 2012 and put the system into live in a record time of 6 weeks, in an implementation that included a data migration and a re-configuration. It now supports the capital’s Coordinate My Care programme which is hosted by the Royal Marsden Hospital.
The software is accessed by GP’s, Out of Hour GP’s, Community Nurses, Hospices, London Ambulance service and NHS 111. The system enables them to be aware when an end of life record exists and to access the most up to date and relevant information for the patient.
Kate Mansell, General Manager at the Royal Marsden Hospital, commented that “the implementation was very swift as we had a tight deadline to meet. We have trained over 5000 clinicians and the system is in use across London. Take up has been rapid and we now have over 6,000 patient records on the system.”
The software utilises Liquidlogic’s social services solution and David Grigsby at Liquidlogic says that “it demonstrates the flexibility of the platform that we were able to configure it to meet the needs of the Coordinate My Care programme so quickly.”
