Suffolk County Council: A Team Effort

  Back to main news page

Following a meticulous tender process, Liquidlogic is pleased to announce that Suffolk County Council has selected its adults and children’s systems. With almost 4,000 users, the Council placed an emphasis on involving a wide variety of staff in the selection process, to ensure better outcomes for the citizens and families which it supports in Suffolk.

Speaking about the selection, Ian Reekie, Senior Systems Transformation Manager at Suffolk County Council comments:

“From the beginning we were clear about the importance of our staff being very involved in testing potential suppliers. Although this was time consuming and took a significant effort from them, we felt that it was crucial to making sure that the right supplier was selected.”

Treesa Carter, Transformation Manager at the Council says:

“We invested time in finding out what our front-line staff needed to really make a transformational difference to their work with people and families.  We undertook a very thorough procurement process with front line representatives from across adults and children’s services.”

David Ainsworth, a Senior Practitioner from the Adults’ Team at Suffolk County Council states:

“We wanted a new case management system that would support our staff and put the person at the centre of everything we do. We rigorously evaluated all the providers and their responses to our requirements using scenarios that reflected the varied complex work with adults and their carers, we put the systems to the test in real time and demonstrated how we could make best use of technology in our day to day work.”

Also involved in the supplier testing was Jo Hammond, Transformation Analyst (Children’s) at Suffolk County Council. She explains:

”I am confident that the Liquidlogic system will support the transformation of our work. The system is intelligent and intuitive and its capabilities are going to revolutionise the way practitioners work on the front face, freeing up more time to spend with the families that we support.”

Speaking about the success, David Grigsby, Managing Director of Liquidlogic comments:

“The team at Suffolk put us through our paces and was extremely thorough, not only in the evaluation of the product in the demonstrations but also in their research beforehand and the tender document itself. We are absolutely delighted to have been successful in our bid at Suffolk and are looking forward to delivering a new generation system to enable them to support the adults, children and families that they work with.”
