Sandwell sign up to Liquidlogic
Liquidlogic is delighted to announce that Sandwell Council has selected its Adults’ (LAS) and Children’s (LCS) social care systems. The Council’s approach to the procurement of an IT system involved early engagement with suppliers by means of soft market testing, which proved crucial and enabled both customer and supplier to establish an understanding of requirements.
Speaking about the procurement, Jim Sullivan, Business Development Director at Liquidlogic says: “The Council took a sensible approach and researched the market and suppliers thoroughly before formally commencing the tender process. They looked into all aspects of potential suppliers, some of which are not always obvious such as financial stability and critical mass in the market.
The team at Sandwell took a rigorous approach to the project and really put us to the test. Their clarity about change management requirements was fundamental, as was the importance they placed on both cultural and business change. The parallel process of clarifying and refining the terms of the contract, as well as the continued access to the Council's Legal Team ensured efficiencies. We are really pleased to be working with them on the implementation of both the Liquidlogic children’s and adults’ systems.”
ICT Business Relationship Manager at Sandwell Council, Tom Davies adds: “It was important that we selected a supplier who was forward thinking and innovative but who also had an established footprint in the social care IT sector. Following a rigorous tender process, we unanimously agreed that Liquidlogic absolutely met all of our requirements.”
