Liquidlogic held an event at The King's Fund yesterday which focussed on the diversity of issues facing those who work in children's services and the challenges that brings for everyone involved.
The company, which provides a third of English Local Authorities' children’s case management systems saw over a hundred people attend the day. Delegates heard from a variety of speakers on a range of subjects including the new Ofsted inspection framework, Hertfordshire County Council’s plans for their DfE Innovation Funding, Rochdale’s response to CSE and Lancashire County Council’s pioneering work with HSCIC on the Child Protection – Information Sharing project.
Speaking about the day Managing Director of Liquidlogic, David Grigsby comments: “Children’s Services has always been such a complex field to work in. Not only are social workers expected to deal with child protection issues but a ‘new generation’ of problems such as CSE and Troubled Families have added to the pressure. All this whilst ensuring that they work within clear Government guidelines. The aim of this event was to showcase the innovative multi-agency work that so many of our customers undertake to tackle the problems faced by social care today.”
