Virtual Learning

Workers within the health and social care sector are currently at the forefront of the UK response to COVID-19. It is important now more than ever to ensure staff safety as well as productivity. But how? At Liquidlogic we are offering all of our training courses virtually, to ensure that social workers are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills that they need to confidently carry out their roles.

The pandemic has driven everyone to adapt to new ways of working, including the Liquidlogic team who are largely working from home. Fortunately, we serve a sector which has been adaptable and flexible in their approach to learning; this has enabled us to launch virtual training courses which will continue to support councils with everything from go-live plans to training new starters.

Virtual classrooms are becoming increasingly popular, as schools and universities make their curriculums available online. But can attendees still learn to their full potential?

It may seem like increased participation and engagement is more likely in a classroom setting, but this is not necessarily true. Liquidlogic courses have been designed to ensure delegate engagement with both interactive elements and formative assessments. Not only will delegates be able to practice using the Liquidlogic system, participants can also interact with others and share progress. This makes learning memorable and manageable.

Saving the Planet and Reducing Costs

It is difficult to predict how the world will look beyond COVID-19, however so many of us have embraced virtual learning that it is hard to imagine that it won’t continue to play a part for many. The benefits are obvious:

  • Courses can be accessed from anywhere, providing there is WiFi available.
  • On-site training requires classrooms – virtual learning will free up valuable meeting space within local authorities.
  • Virtual learning will limit unnecessary travel, lowering the carbon footprint.
  • Virtual training incurs no additional expense for trainers such as hotel accommodation and subsistence costs, therefore reducing costs to councils.

Liquidlogic’s virtual training programme is highly accessible with participants able to join a session by simply clicking a link. Reflecting a classroom  environment, virtual courses also allow immediate feedback from a live instructor, who is there every step of the way.

Virtual learning is a cost effective tool which reduces environmental impact and supports both existing and new users of Liquidlogic and is here to stay.

"Online learning is not the next big thing, it is the now big thing.”
