Shared Lives Carer
Shared lives schemes support adults with learning disabilities, mental health problems or other needs that make it harder for them to live alone. The schemes match the requirements of a person who needs care with an approved carer. The carer shares their family and community life and gives care and support to the person with care needs.
The Liquidlogic Adults' Social Care System (LAS) supports application tracking of a prospective Shared Lives Carer and recording of any ongoing work once they are approved such as training requirements, equipment and other checks. A progress form and review form has been developed to accompany this functionality. Councils are free to create individual bespoke form revisions based Liquidlogic standard forms to meet local requirements.
