Comments on Munro Report
Following the publication of the interim report by Professor Munro, Liquidlogic is addressing a variety of issues raised.
The report outlines the requirement for more flexibility in systems and signals a move away from the prescription of ICS. We have interpreted the paper as a green light to press ahead with designs we have for more efficient family working supported by the PROTOCOL software. This will include:
- Enhancements to the existing functionality for working across a group of siblings, with family assessments and plans.
- A concept called My View which allows the practitioner to individually tailor their view of ICS with the information and functionality most frequently used by them, something that ties in with the theme in the report of seeing the child’s story more clearly.
As we all absorb the implications of Professor Munro’s work, we will see further developments of PROTOCOL ICS to support improvements in practice; as always, we place great emphasis on the views of our customers and will work with them to develop our thinking.
The PROTOCOL solution already provides the freedom to design individual forms and reflect local customisations. Many Councils have taken advantage of this in rationalising the exemplars to a more manageable length and content.
Details of further enhancements will be discussed at the next ICS User Group on March 3rd. In the meantime please contact your Liquidlogic account manager with any questions or feedback.
