In May 2011 System C was acquired by McKesson, a global provider of healthcare services and information technology, currently ranked 14th on the FORTUNE 500.
McKesson UK specialises in workforce,clinical and administrative information technology and medical imaging solutions. 26 NHS Trusts in the UK use systems from McKesson for patient administration. McKesson also has a significant presence with CarePlus Child Health, a browser based solution for NHS Trusts which is used to hold details of approximately 6 million children.
System C's Medway suite of clinical and care management systems is used across 40 NHS hospitals and also by the private sector. Solutions include: Electronic Patient Record (EPR) / Patient Administration Systems (PAS) , Departmental Clinical Systems, Dashboard Applications and Web Portals.
The acquisition means that the group now has a significant footprint in both acute and child health, which complements Liquidlogic’s product range in adults’ and children’s social care.
A number of projects are underway to demonstrate full integration of the group wide product set.
