Demand Grows for Liquidlogic eCAF Solution

A rapidly increasing number of Local Authorities are implementing the Liquidlogic eCAF solution. The company has seen four Local Authorities sign up for eCAF in the last month alone. Although there are plans for a National eCAF system, most localities are well aware of the fact that national projects are invariably late. In addition to this, the one size fits all approach a national scheme will eventually impose will not be popular where children’s services have already developed their own ways of multi-agency working.

Whilst eCAF is a much simpler process than ICS for example, there are many more local variations in how areas wish to work than with ICS. Liquidlogic developed an eCAF system to meet the complex and strict data protection demands of the National eCAF Requirements Catalogue but also made it flexible enough to work in the different ways customers demand. In addition, localities are realising that eCAF is just one aspect of what a flexible multi-agency IT system can support.

Localities are realising that this same system can also assist them with managing the complex needs of Disabled Children, Drug use Screening, Anti Social Behaviour and Integrated Teams where work needs to be recorded and shared even before a CAF episode is initiated. Many customers want to change the CAF assessment form to reflect local needs, add supplementary assessments and move away from the simple CAF action plan and use a more comprehensive care planning approach.
