Kids Company

Kids Company provides practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children and young people. Many of the 13,500 children reached by Kids Company’s services have experienced severe and multiple trauma. Often these are ‘lone children’ living in chronic deprivation, with little or no support from the adults in their family. Some are young carers struggling to look after younger siblings or parents who are unable to care for them, and many have been forced into drug running, gangs, or prostitution as the only means of survival in their depleted communities.

The Growing Zone

The Growing Zone is a local charity based in Garforth, Leeds which offers children with learning difficulties or disabled children an opportunity to learn about gardens and even develop their own garden.

The Princess Royal Trust for Carers

The Princess Royal Trust for Carers is the largest provider of comprehensive carers support services in the UK. The Trust currently provides quality information, advice and support services to almost 354,000 carers, including over 20,000 young carers.

YWCA

YWCA is the leading charity working with the most disadvantaged young women in England and Wales. The charity works with girls and young women aged 11 to 30. This is the age range where there is greatest need and where we can make the greatest difference.
