ContactPoint

In December 2005, the Government decided to proceed with the development of ContactPoint. This will allow professionals delivering children’s services to view all children at risk and also identify other professionals working with these children.
With the aim of being live by 2008, ContactPoint will contain a record of every child and young person aged 0-18 in England.
ContactPoint Adapter
One of the key features of ContactPoint is its ability to take child data from case management systems and present it so that it can have the maximum benefit for practitioners.
Whilst case management suppliers (like Liquidlogic) have obtained funding for their own systems, this still leaves many other systems without a connection to ContactPoint, making this data potentially unvailable to ContactPoint users.
Liquidlogic has now developed an adapter to help organisations with this problem. With unparalleled experience in data integration, Liquidlogic was the first supplier to connect to the ContactPoint test environment and has been assisting the DCSF’s technology partner in developing this environment.
This technology has now been made available to take feeds from third party databases for uploading to ContactPoint, thereby helping to ensure the success of the ContactPoint launch.
