ContactPoint

In December 2005, the Government decided to proceed with the development of ContactPoint. This will allow professionals delivering children’s services to view all children at risk and also identify other professionals working with these children.

With the aim of being live by 2008, ContactPoint will contain a record of every child and young person aged 0-18 in England.

ContactPoint Bid Update

A bid for ContactPoint funding in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council as the Lead Organisation was submitted in late 2007; with Liquidlogic proposing the data feed and full integration option for its PROTOCOL based products.

The DCSF confirmed the bid successful and grant letters were issued in February 2008. The design and development of the integration of all PROTOCOL products (ICS, eCAF and ID Manager) to ContactPoint is now well advanced. It is intended that the ContactPoint integration module will be available for DCSF 'type accreditation' in the 3rd quarter of 2008 for take up by the North West early adopters of ContactPoint.
