Liquidlogic is pleased to support a number of charities both locally and nationally.
Platform 51 is a national charity with a local Yorkshire office. Statistics show that 51% of the population is female, hence the charity name. Platform 51 supports girls and women of any age or background who have been affected by domestic, drug or alcohol abuse. The charity also works with women to positively change their lives following a prison sentence, with remarkable results - 97% of offenders worked with do not reoffend.
Kids Company provides practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children and young people. Many of the 14,000 children reached by Kids Company’s services have experienced severe and multiple trauma. Often these are ‘lone children’ living in chronic deprivation, with little or no support from the adults in their family. Some are young carers struggling to look after younger siblings or parents who are unable to care for them, and many have been forced into drug running, gangs, or prostitution as the only means of survival in their depleted communities.
The Growing Zone is a local charity based in Leeds which aims to bring together both young and older people with disabilities, visual impairment and complex learning needs. The work takes places in an environment that is safe where they can learn from each other, build up their confidence and mix with other people from the community. The Growing Zone teaches users about the land and how to grow vegetables, flowers and fruit.
The Princess Royal Trust for Carers is the largest provider of comprehensive carers support services in the UK. At the heart of The Trust is a unique network of 144 independently-managed Carers' Centres, 89 young carers' services and interactive websites (www.carers.org and www.youngcarers.net) which deliver around the clock support to over 424,000 carers and approximately 25,000 young carers.
