API Integration

APIs (Application Program Interfaces) are developed and exposed by the legacy software vendors. These should provide all the required capability for an authorised external (new) system application to search, retrieve, create and update data that is held within the existing system.

APIs should be appropriately documented for the external system software vendor, as well as meet the full range of functionality required by the customer for the integration. The API should be fully supported and maintained by the existing software vendor and upgraded alongside new versions of the system. Clearly APIs must also be financially viable to the customer.

Where an API is available and the above criteria are met, Liquidlogic is happy to always work with customers to utilise an existing API. Where an API is not available or some of the above criteria are not satisfied, customers may consider utilising the robotics integration method.
